My dear Mr. Skinner:
Enclosed please find check for Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($6,500.00) to cover the cost of the Methuen organ pipes which you so kindly offered to sell to the Cathedral.
It is understood that you will have these pipes stored for our account and properly insured, sending us, if you will, a memorandum of the same — where they are stored, and in what company and for how much they are insured. The policy should be made out in the name of the “Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation of the District of Columbia;” and we should know the date of expiration, so that in every contingency the policy will be renewed at the proper time.
